    1Childhood

A rural obstetrician who became an idol fan through a dying patient is hired to hide a pregnancy for the singer he follows. He and that patient both wake as her twins, Aqua and Ruby, and grow up backstage until a stalker ends the life they were sharing with her. The agency takes them in, and Aqua starts hunting whoever fed the killer their address.

    2Show business

Ruby wants the same career her mother had. Aqua tries to block her, then follows her into the industry so he can search it without putting her in the lights. At a performing-arts high school they reconnect with a former child star, pick up a web-drama job, and begin assembling a new idol group under the old agency.

    3Dating reality show

Aqua accepts a teen dating show as a trade for names. A stage actress on the cast is edited into the villain, and the comments nearly kill her. He and a veteran livestreamer drag her back from the edge; she answers by studying the idol he still measures everyone against. When taping ends, that livestreamer joins the group that still has no debut.

    4First stage

With three members, the revived B-Komachi uses the livestreamer's audience to land a first real stage at a national idol festival they are not ready for. Aqua props the set from the wings. It holds, and one of the girls finally sees whose hands were doing the work.

    Season 1 ends here

    52.5D stage play

Aqua, Kana, Akane, and a handsome co-star who cannot act are cast in a 2.5D adaptation of a hit manga. The original author hates the script and almost pulls the license; the rewrite demands feeling Aqua has been avoiding since the night his mother died. Opening night becomes a contest between two actresses who have been scoring themselves against each other since they were children.

    6Private

DNA Aqua has been collecting points to a man who is already dead, and for a while he lets the hunt go. He tells Akane. A music-video shoot then takes the group to the town where he and Ruby first died, and she learns that the same leak that killed their mother also killed the doctor she still calls sensei.

    Season 2 ends here

    7Mainstay

Ruby stops playing the cheerful junior and uses a web variety show, and the missing agency founder, to climb. Aqua has to admit the closed case was never closed: the name on a family register and the man who fathered them are not the same person. Akane reaches that name first and tries to finish it without him; he cuts her out so she cannot.

    8Scandal

Kana, watching Ruby carry the group, goes looking for acting work and walks into a director who wants more than a meeting. Photographers are already downstairs. Aqua kills the story by selling a larger one: that he and Ruby are Ai's hidden children. It saves Kana and the group's name, and it costs him his sister's trust.

    9Movie

Aqua and the director who once put a child on camera with Ai pitch a feature about her life, aimed at a man who is still working in the business. Casting turns into a fight over who is allowed to play her; Ruby takes the role and has to act a mother she has been trying not to look at. People who lived that story, including the one the film is meant to trap, find their way onto the production.

    Season 3 ends here

10Toward the end of the play

The cameras stop. Kana tells Aqua she is leaving the group for acting, and that she wants him at her last live. After the first screening for the people who made the film, he finally stands in front of the man it was built to accuse.

    11Toward the stars and dreams

The accusation does not land the way he planned; a message Ai left behind does. Another leftover threat from the old group is stopped before it reaches Ruby. Aqua then ends the chain in a way that keeps his sister from inheriting either a killer's name or a killer's work, and years later B-Komachi walks onto the dome stage their mother never reached.
