A famous actress on hiatus walks through a library in a bunny costume that nobody else can see. A second-year who already knows adolescence syndrome is real is the only person who notices her, and he tries to keep her from disappearing while she decides whether to return to the work that made her invisible.
The morning after a confession, the same day repeats. A first-year junior is looping time to dodge a confession that would wreck a friendship, and the two of them fake a relationship until the loop will not let her lie about what she actually wants.
The science club's only member splits into two people who cannot stand each other's way of being seen. Her two remaining friends spend a night on the beach trying to prove she is not going to be left alone.
A rising idol and her actress half-sister swap bodies. Each has to live the other's schedule long enough to see the gap they have been measuring themselves against, and the letters one of them kept.
Sakuta's shut-in sister writes a list of ordinary goals — answer the phone, leave the apartment, go to school — while a two-year blank in her memory starts to close.
After that winter goes wrong, Sakuta is offered a way back through the day of the accident, and has to choose a future that does not require anyone he loves to die for someone else.
With her original memories back, Kaede wants the same high school as her brother. Stress and adolescence syndrome make the entrance exam a problem, and an idol who already left ordinary school shows her another way through.
After a reunion with their mother, people stop noticing Sakuta. A child who looks like Mai leads him into a kinder version of the family he left, and he has to decide whether to stay.
At university, an idol classmate suddenly starts reading the room too well. A commercial makes her famous, her voice fails on stage, and she has to choose between a solo offer and the group that still wants the Budokan.
A nursing student from Sakuta's middle-school class keeps getting ahead of accidents as if she had already seen them. A class reunion and a message written on skin warn that Mai is in danger and that someone named Touko Kirishima is at the center of it.
A cram-school student who can read the people she touches offers to help find Touko Kirishima, while using that same ability to keep boys circling her. Christmas Eve becomes a test of whether Sakuta's relationship can be borrowed.
Prophetic dreams spread online, including one in which Mai is hurt at a public event. A girl only Sakuta can see has been handing out adolescence syndrome as a gift, and stopping her means restoring a name she has already thrown away.
The dreams start rewriting waking life: Mai is announced as Touko Kirishima, a sister who should be gone is home again, and Sakuta has to find who first sang under that name before the world settles on the wrong version of the people he knows.
The last of the rewrites comes down to whether Sakuta will deny adolescence syndrome itself. A friend who cannot be seen anymore is looking for a world where the singer lived, and Sakuta has to decide what to keep as memory instead of miracle.
